What is an escape room?

An escape room is a live, interactive adventure where your group works together to solve puzzles, find clues, and complete a mission before time runs out. At Labyrinth Escape Games, every room uses cinematic set design, immersive props, and story-driven challenges. No experience is required, and our game masters guide you through every step.

Do I need experience to play an escape room?

Not at all. Many of our guests are first-time players and have an amazing time. Labyrinth designs every room with intuitive puzzles that reward teamwork and curiosity - not escape room expertise. Our game masters provide hints whenever you need them. First-timers: start with The Lost Mine (Boise) or Excalibur (Nampa).

Are you actually locked in the room?

No. While the experience feels immersive, you are never truly locked in. Emergency exits are always accessible and game masters monitor every room via camera. You can leave at any time for any reason.

How long does an escape room take?

Classic rooms are 60 minutes and Epic rooms are 75 minutes of game time. Plan to arrive 15 minutes early for check-in. Budget about 90 minutes total for a Classic room or about 2 hours for an Epic room.

How many people can play an escape room?

Our rooms accommodate groups of 2 to 12 players depending on the room. Most rooms fit 2 to 8 players comfortably. Excalibur in Nampa holds up to 12 players. For groups larger than 12, we can book multiple rooms simultaneously - call (208) 999-3806 (Boise) or (208) 999-3398 (Nampa) to arrange.

What happens if we don't escape in time?

No worries - the adventure is still a blast whether you escape or not. After time is up, your game master walks you through any puzzles you didn't reach so you can see the full story. Our rooms are designed so most groups do escape - the real magic is in the journey.
